Challenge:

(1)The participant from the participating school will be allotted the role of any parliamentarian according to current members of the Parliament.

(2)Participants have to send any three portfolio preferences via email to Beaparliamentarian@ms.mountabuschool.com, wherein the subject line should be "School Name", they will be notified of their allotted portfolio by reply to the same email.

(3)For choosing the portfolio, participants can refer to the following matrix link, after which they will be allotted their desired portfolio according to the availability of the same 

(4)Topic of Discussion: India's status with regards to achievement of UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

(5)There will be a motion of speeches by all parliamentarians, for which every participant has to prepare a speech of 2-3 minutes, in context to the topic, their stance and as per their role.

(6)The speeches would be then followed by an open house debate.
Rules:

(1)Brownie points for costumes and extra effects.

(2)Only constructive discussions and debates are allowed.

(3)Unparliamentary behavior or conversations will lead to disqualification.

(4)Ruling party members can support the theme, present a future road map whereas opposition members can critically review or provide constructive ideas.

Judgement criteria:

(1)Opening statements- knowledge and intrepretation of facts; Extent of research; confidence

(2)Asking substantive questions

(3)Replying substantive questions

(4)Correction in factual inaccuracy
